The grand Noria in Hama Syria 1930`s photo

This is a 1930`s aerial picture of a water wheel that uses the same principle of modern fluid dynamics. pumps that had. and still have the function of raising water by harnessing the power of a water course. Original technology in ancient Mesopotamia. was widely used and perfected by the Arab peoples.

The largest noria is now in Syria. Hama. where the larger wheel is 20 metres in diameter
